December 13, 2019 Today we explored the concepts of multiplication and division and discussed how math can be made visible using visual symbols and objects. We learned about Chanukah and had a wonderful time learning how to play dreidel with our buddies!  We loved that everyone celebrates different events and holidays, but that everyone comes together with friends and families.  😊 Have a great weekend! Mrs B.

December 12, 2019 We have struggled to be good listeners in our class this year, so this week we shook things up and have switched to desks with trays for our belongings - we have some more work to do. I will be posting picture tonight from out trip to Fort Calgary. We learned so much and had a wonderful day!  Thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers for coming out and making our trips so successful! We tried our best to create origami stars ...  its a work in progress!  😁 Tomorrow we have buddies!  Bells practice is going great and we can't wait for you to hear us at the concern next Thursday!
December 10, 2019 Tomorrow we are headed to Fort Calgary!!  Our bus leaves promptly 8:45am.  Please remember to bring a lunch and a waterbottle. Dress for the weather, we might be able to go outside if we have time. Ask me about CPAWS! Bring a non-perishable food item for our hamper program.

Welcome to our new classroom blog! I will be posting our agenda messages, notices, pictures and various websites or other items to support our learning. This next week will be a busy one! On top of our normal learning we have CPAWS - Canada Parks and Wilderness Society, coming in on Tuesday morning first thing to discuss how we impact our environment. This will begin to prepare us for the Mayor’s Expo at the end of year. Wednesday we are off to Fort Calgary for the day to learn more about Calgary’s rich historical past.  The rest of the week we will be continuing our latest social studies project on the regions, as well as starting our new science unit.  Math is now focused on building our multiplication skills and helping your children to  practice their times tables would be very beneficial. Please remember to send in your field study permission forms and please pay for the trip using your MyCBE account if you haven’t already! Dress warm this week, it’s going to be a chilly o
